Teenager Chanettee Wannasaen claimed a berth at the 2021 Honda LPGA Thailand after winning the qualifying event yesterday.
The 16-year-old from Chiang Mai shot a two-day total of 10-under par at Siam Country Club in Pattaya, five strokes ahead of runner-up Chonlada Chayanun.
Wassawan Sangkapong and Arpichaya Yubol were tied for third on two-under.
“It’s an honour and a proud moment for me to qualify for the Honda LPGA Thailand,” said Chanettee, who is also known as Pro Praw.
Chanettee, who finished second at the Phoenix Ladies Classic on Sunday behind 18-year-old Atthaya Thitikul, is one of Thailand’s fast rising female golfers.
