‘Car Mob’ returns: Anti-Prayuth protesters will drive through Bangkok streets tomorrow

Anti-government protesters who rode through Bangkok streets over the weekend to demand the prime minister’s resignation are expected to return for another rally tomorrow. 

A rally similar to last week, which involved 200 vehicles, will take place again tomorrow afternoon, activist and “Car Mob” rally leader Sombat Boonngamanong said. Demonstrators are calling for Prayuth Chan-ocha’s resignation largely due to his mishandling of the COVID-19 health crisis as infections continue to skyrocket and kill dozens of people each day. 

They plan to gather at the Democracy Monument at 1pm, before heading to the headquarters of dominant pro-government political parties: Democrat Party, Bhumjaithai Party, Phalang Phacharath Party, Action Coalition for Thailand Party. 

The rally will conclude at the Ratchaprasong Intersection in downtown Bangkok.
