Can you bring in canned goods and other food into Thailand?

Any recent experience? I have an overnight layover in Thailand (different airlines coming in and going out so I need to take my bags out). Planning on bringing some groceries from country of origin to country of destination. Wondering if there any restrictions as the info on the official webpages aren’t really so clear about what’s prohibited or not, apart from alcohol and cigarettes. I’m thinking a couple of cans of spam or corned beef, hopefully even vacuum-sealed cheese and cured meat (salami, prosciutto, etc), etc. as these aren’t available in my country of destination.
