I’m in need of some new reading glasses. Care more about function and quality over style.
My prescription is nothing complex. In fact, in a pinch I can get by with the 90 baht readers for sale on many sidewalks.
Prefer an optician that isn’t in a tourist $$$ zone.
I also prefer a meticulous proprietor over a chain.
I knew of one 6 years ago that was near the Bang Na BTS stop, that an old Thai friend showed me, but I’ve lost touch with that old friend and when I rode the BTS out there last week I could not find it. It was run by a husband wife team that were excellent and meticulous craftspeople. It could be that over the years I forgot which BTS stop it was, but it was out in that direction.
