Busanan, Supanida in India Open final
Benyapa, Nuntakarn book berth in women’s doubles
Busanan Ongbamrungphan and Supanida Katethong advanced to the women’s singles final of the BWF India Open in New Delhi on Saturday.
Second seed Busanan defeated Aakarshi Kashyap of India 26-24, 21-9 to progress to the title match of the US$400,000 World Tour Super 500 event.
Busanan will face fellow Thai Supanida who beat top seed Pusarla V Sindhu 21-14, 13-21, 21-10 in Sunday’s final.
Earlier, fourth seeded Benyapa Aimsaard and Nuntakarn Aimsaard booked their berth in the women’s doubles decider following a 21-12, 21-9 win over Haritha Manazhiyil Harinarayanan and Ashna Roy of India.
