Buriram still nine ahead of title rivals

Buriram United regained their nine-point advantage at the top of the Thai League 1 table after a 3-0 win at Sukhothai on Sunday night.

Second-placed Chonburi had cut the deficit to six points after defeating Police Tero 5-3 earlier in the day.

Goals from Jonathan Bolingi in the 45th minute, Supachai Chaided (81) and Peeradol Chamratsamee (90+4) gave Buriram the comfortable victory over the Fire Bats in their first game of the second half of the season.

Buriram coach Masatada Ishii rested Thailand internationals Theerathon Bunmathan and Sasalak Haiprakhon who helped the War Elephants win the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup recently.
