Book Review: Makoto Marketing

Anyone who likes to read business marketing books. Probably familiar with the name of Dr. Kritinee Pongthanalert or Ketwadee Marumura already. (hereinafter, for the sake of conciseness, let me call ‘Ajarn Ket’) Past work of Ajarn Ket There are many, many varieties. If you go back to the timeline, there will be…

  • Rinen Builds a 100-Year Business with Japanese Principles (5/2019)
  • Sensei Heart creates Japanese people (2/2018)
  • Love the most at the point of being (5/2017)
  • Slow Success, big with small steps (2016)
  • Japanese Mount Makes You Smile (Japan Gossip) (2016)
  • Japan Love Gossip Japanese Love Whisper (8/2015)
  • Sugoi! Marketing Why everyone is attracted to Japan (11/2014)

All of these works have to be said that they are good. Many people complimented that it made us enjoy reading and learning about Japanese society in an interesting way. But the book that really started to impress me. As a business person, it is ‘Rinen’, a book on sustainable business management concepts. In that book, Ajarn Ket compared his business to two types of trees, bamboo and pine.

bamboo – It is a tree that grows fast and propagates quickly. A bamboo plant could be nearly a meter tall overnight. And with an average life of about 10-15 years, it is comparable to a company that gives priority to shareholders, followed by customers and society, and finally, employees, business partners.

pine – Plants whose pods are rooted deep in the soil and growing slowly but even through extremely hot weather or how heavy the snow is The pine leaves are always dark green. Importantly, it is also a plant that has an average lifespan of more than 2,500 years. Tonson will put employees first. because believe If the employees are happy Employees will be able to create good value for customers.

Of course, in Rien Ajarn Ket has pointed us to look at the pine tree. ready to invite us to do business with spirit (The word “soul” I didn’t think of myself. @imenn thought and reviewed it.interesting too)

but in spite of this I have to be honest with anyone who reads Rinen. We will know that There may be people arguing in their minds that

“That’s a matter of Japanese society. Then take it and do it for real in Thailand, will it be possible?”

or

“Can’t really do it. Just reading it makes me feel good.”

And to be honest, I’m also one of those people who thought that way too. I feel that the idea is good and profound, but I’m not sure how to actually do it But instead of just leaving the book on the shelf, I didn’t stop, but kept trying to find the answer.

shortly after As doubts swirled in his head I had the opportunity to joinMaster Ket’s Rinen class So I learned together with many classmates and crystallized that Rinen is a ‘philosophy’ level of sustainable business management that is possible with Thailand. If the founder of the business must have a clear determination. and committed enough We just have to figure out the philosophy to break it down to the strategic level.

And while trying to crack a strategy… Ajarn Ket released a book, Makoto Marketing, a genuine Japanese-style marketing course.

Honestly, I don’t know what she’s going to say next. as a book fan I hurried to read it carefully. and found what he had been looking for for a long time That’s the algorithm we used to want when we finished reading Rinen.

The book is divided into 20 chapters, each chapter starting with a Thai business problem. Then Ajarn Ket will take you deep into the case study. She will then bring you back to the context of the Thai business problem mentioned above. by finishing with exercises or exchange of ideas through letters with you And ending the book by inviting you to take the final exam by answering 13 questions for yourself. If you are running a business And to market the business to be sustainable success, what do you need to do?

It’s over. If ‘Rinen’ is a philosophy, ‘Makoto Marketing’ is a book that explains strategies with case studies. that makes you see more clearly that If you want to do good and sustainable business, what should you do?

If you are the one doing business and feel that in the morning I do not want to get out of bed to go to work at all This book will not only recharge you that morning. But it also guides you to keep loving what you do.

You shouldn’t miss it in all respects. 10/10
