The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will spend 260 million baht renovating an elevated walkway connecting Lumpini Park at Sarasin Intersection on Witthayu Road and Benjakitti Park on Ratchadaphisek Road.

The aim is to create another green area in the city.

Known as Bangkok Green Bridge, the elevated pavement was built over the Ruam Rudee, Polo and Indonesian Masjid communities. It is about 1.5km long and also has a bicycle lane.

The BMA will work with the Urban Design and Development Centre to improve the park’s atmosphere, including rest areas. It will also install CCTVs for the safety of passengers. The project will be completed next year.
