Hey, planning a trip to Southeast Asia. Early September to late October. Current idea is to go to BKK airport from the U.K., move up north, go to Laos, and then into Vietnam, and probably back to BKK. Around a 40 day trip, maybe get to another country or two, but that’s besides the point.
I am wondering what peoples experience are with the best and cheapest flights from the U.K. to that part of the world. I’ve kinda got myself stuck on the idea of flying to BKK, but maybe there is a cheaper option.
I found good flights, about 11-14 hr (direct or 1 stop) from Manchester and London. About 400 one way, 700 round trip, roughly.
If it was a case of getting a chunk cheaper flight to somewhere like Singapore, Indonesia or anywhere, and spending some time there before flying to BKK/SGN it could give me some thinking to do.
Tl;dr – cheapest and most reasonable way to fly from U.K. TO ASIA.
