Deputy national police chief “Big Joke” says that a Canadian businessman did not murder his Thai girlfriend who was found hanged in her nail salon in Phuket, southern Thailand, on February 8.
Landy came into the spotlight when the deceased’s elder brother Kriengsak accused him of murdering his younger sister Wanvisa Riewklang.
Surachat “Big Joke” Hakparn said that the couple had a fight before Wanvisa’s death so it could be concluded that she committed suicide. Big Joke said the couple had a history of jealousy and quarrelling.
However, Wanvisa’s autopsy results still haven’t been released.
After Wanvisa’s family voiced their concerns that Landy could have murdered Wanvisa and disguised it as a suicide, Big Joke enquired about the case with the investigating officers at Patong Police Station.
