BG Pathum stamp their class at home

Thai League 1 leaders BG Pathum United moved 10 points clear of second-placed Port after the Rabbits defeated visiting Prachuap FC 2-0 yesterday.

BG Pathum kicked off the second half of the season in commanding fashion after picking up their 14th win of the campaign at their Leo Stadium yesterday.

A first-half goal from Sumanya Purisai and a second-half penalty from Victor Cardozo sealed all three points for the leaders, who now have 44 points from 16 games. Port, on 34 points from 14 games, visit Samut Prakan City today.

Prachuap defender Adnan Orahovac failed to clear a cross from Thitipan Puangchan and the ball fell to Sumanya, who fired home from the edge of the box in the 40th minute.
