Bangkok Post – Govt issues alert to vulnerable groups

The Ministry of Public Health is warning more than 300,000 people at high risk from harmful effects caused by ultra-fine PM2.5 dust to exercise greater care because air pollution will worsen from next month until March.

Department of Disease Control chief Dr Thongchai Keeratihuttayakorn said that fine particulate matter smaller than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) is an important trigger that can worsen people’s ailments, especially those in vulnerable groups.
