Bangkok Post – Egco expects Yunlin wind farm to be ready by Q4

The developers of the much-delayed Yunlin offshore wind farm project in Taiwan aim to complete its construction within the next five months, says Electricity Generating Plc (Egco), a major shareholder.

Egco, the power generation arm of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, owns a 26.5% investment in the project, with the remainder funded by Global Infrastructure Partners.

The 640-megawatt facility was initially set to be completed in 2020, but was delayed until 2022 because of the impact of the pandemic. Some construction work remains unfinished.
