Bangkok Post – A celebration of creativity and innovation

Over 1,000 research projects and inventions from Thai and international researchers feature at “Thailand’s Inventors’ Day” from today until Feb 6, daily from 9am to 5pm. The venue is Bitec Hall 100-102, Bang Na-Trat Road.

Organised by the National Research Council of Thailand as a tribute to the remarkable achievement of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great — also the Father of Thai Invention — for inventing the low-speed surface aerator, this year’s theme is “Invention And Innovation, Pioneering Progress”.

Expect to witness an amazing array of innovations ready for implementation and production in various fields, namely agriculture, medicine, quality of life and ageing society. Among notable inventions are a pilot-scale mobile prototype for essential oil extraction from Thai fragrant flowers using compressed subcritical fluid technology by King Mongkut’s University…
