A Bangkok man who evaded an Ekkamai checkpoint and led police on a dramatic pursuit was due in court this morning.
The man was arrested after Thong Lor police last night used their guns in a crowded intersection to shoot out the tires of his red Mitsubishi Mirage after he sped away from the police checkpoint. This amazing act of police work was, fortunately for us, caught on tape by a nearby noodle seller.
He gave chase until officers caught up with him at the Pracha Songkroh intersection in Din Daeng. There, patrol officers drew their guns out and shot the car’s tires, after which the driver attempted to flee before crashing into a motorcycle and coming to a rest nearby.
