Bangkok and suburbs suffering excessive levels of PM2.5 pollution

Excessive levels of PM2.5 dust have been measured in 71 areas of Bangkok and its peripherals in the past 24 hours, with the highest level being recorded in Paknam sub-district of Samut Prakan province, according to the Pollution Control Department at 7am Monday morning.

The PM2.5 levels range from 27.3 to 65.9 microns (μg), against the safe threshold level of 37.5μg.

Areas with over 50μg of PM2.5 dust in the atmosphere include:

Kanchanapisek Road in Bang Khun Thian district, 50.5μg

Khlong Kum sub-district in Bueng Kum district, 56.6μg

Thawee Wanarom park in Thawee Wattana district, 52.4μg

Soi Lat Phrao 95 in Wang Thong Lang district, 54.2μg

Narathiwat Road in Bang Rak district, 54.2μg

Pattanakarn Road in Suan Luang district, 52.4μg

Bang Na-Trat Road in Bang Na district, 55.3μg

Lat Krabang Road in Lat Krabang district, 51.9μg
