Awesome Atthaya claims 5th pro title at Thailand Masters

Teenage sensation Atthaya Thitikul stormed to her fifth professional title with a wire-to-wire victory at the season-ending Thailand LPGA Masters in Nakhon Nayok yesterday.

Atthaya, who held a one-shot lead after two rounds, shot a six-under-par 66 to finish at 16-under 200 and claim the title by five shots at Watermill Golf Club and Resort.

It was her fourth straight title and fifth overall on the Thai LPGA Tour this year.

Amateur Pimkwan Chookaew was second, posting a 70 for 205, one shot ahead of Supamas Sangchan, who carded a 68.

Former top-ranked amateur Atthaya, who turned pro in February, received 600,000 baht in prize money from a total purse of four million baht.
