Avoid sex to stay COVID-safe: Thai health officials

Stay chaste, lovebirds: Thai health officials are encouraging everyone to avoid having sex to prevent COVID-19 infections. 

Director of Reproductive Health Office Peerayuth Sanukul on Wednesday said that having sex with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 or is awaiting a test result could pose health risks and contribute to the spread of COVID-19 infections. 

He went on to urge everyone to refrain from doing the deed until they can be assured their sex partner his COVID-free.

Peerayuth also urged people to not engage in intercourse with strangers in order to reduce the risk of getting infected. With COVID-19, that is.
