Got back on Fri 22 Dec and yup bingo!! Immigration system didn’t have record of my exit.
Confused immigration officer took me aside check and asked questions again what and why and how.
Finally stamped me in again. No exit stamp still in my passport lol.
I can understand those who don’t speak fluent Thais would be a nightmare. But the officer was kind and calm and we had a great chat throughout.
My take on this, I’ll still do it next week when going abroad and let’s see how it goes. Beats queueing for 2 hours going through manned counter.

Just wanted to share with everyone that the autogate at Suvarnabhumi Airport is now available for use for foreigners.
But as usual, the airport staffs still usher foreigners to the manned counter causing massive lines all the way up to the X ray machine.
They even had a staff blocking the escalator down to immigration due to the queue build up.
Luckily I speak enough Thai to ask if I can use my foreign passport on the autogate and was done in less than 30 seconds. There was another non Thai beside me going through.
Not sure why the airport staffs don’t usher more foreigners to use autogate. Could have save loads of time.
