Australia opens cooked duck market to Thailand’s CP Foods

BANGKOK — Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods) sent its inaugural shipment of cooked duck to Australia, marking Thailand’s first exports of processed poultry Down Under.

The opening of Australia’s poultry market to Thai duck meat followed seven years of negotiations between the Thai and Australian governments, which have had a free trade agreement since 2005.
