Six fancy felines with criminal backgrounds will be auctioned next month in Rayong province.
Six purebred kitties with a whiff of infamy seized from a Rayong mansion two weeks ago should fetch high prices when they are auctioned on April 23, Wichai Chaimongkol, secretary-general of the Narcotics Control Board, said today.
The cats – one male Bengal, two male Scottish Folds and three female Scottish Folds – are expected to draw significant interest due to their breeding and outlaw celebrity.

Wichai said their reserve prices will be announced a week before the auction, which will begin at 9am at the board’s local offices in Rayong’s Klaeng district.
The board said it was auctioning the cats because they were “not suitable” to keep and would be too much of a burden to the office.
