Arrived in Phuket airport yesterday. Went to use the ATM after customs where there was a money exchange counter.
I use ATM’s as I have an American Charles Schwab account that has 0 ATM fees globally.
I chose not to accept the conversion and the ATM declined my transaction. I accepted the hit but ended up paying about 500 baht to use the ATM which is ridiculous if you ask me.
What ATM’s should I look for to avoid these fees that’ll accept my decision to decline their BS conversion fee.
