Art inspired by insects

A sense of relaxation and the nature of tiny underground insects are highlighted in “A Relaxed Philosophy”, which is running at 6060 Arts Space until Feb 13.

On showcase are abstract paintings that render a feeling of calm by veteran artist Dinhin Rakpong-asoke who is renowned for producing black and white realistic drawings on paper, including portraits of King Rama IX.

This time around, he turns to create pure abstract paintings in bright colours as a way to satisfy his own emotions and relieve stress from his usual black and white works. He paints on canvas without planning and sketches, with the only intention to play with lines, colours, weight and textures to achieve beauty.
