Hello, A friend of mine who created a startup a year ago in Europe, is currently looking for an investor, a potential company from Singapore is interested into investing and wants to use a insurance inbetween which costs more then 10.000 $ that will be paid back or so if i understand it right.
Now i will not name the companies money etc, but for my friend, it all seems to be to good to be true, so he wanted me to investigate a bit the insurance company.
The insurance company is a literal nobody as it seems with a typical 1qm office to have an address and the company seems to have 3 locations including thailand with also singapore and india.
if you look closer, the singaporean investor company also has not much internet presence at all.
So my question is: Are there some investor scams going on in SEA that focus on making contracts with european companies in the hopes of making some fast money? In any case we both agreed that its all a bit shady
