Angry Woman Stabs Pattaya Hotel Worker in Front of Popular Mall for Calling Cop on Her

Pattaya —

An infuriated woman from Khon Kaen province stabbed the back of a hotel worker in Pattaya after the latter tried to call a cop on her for allegedly trying to enter a hotel without permission.

The violence was reported to Pattaya Police at 10:06 PM on September 20th, 2023. The police, emergency responders, and The Pattaya News hurried to the scene to inspect the incident.

At the front of the Central Mall Shopping Center authorities found a startled group of people circling the wounded man. He was identified as 25-year-old Mr. Thanadon Chaiyasat, a hotel employee. He had been stabbed once in the back, suffering a serious wound, and was lying flat on the ground, crying in agony. The emergency responders urgently transferred him to a nearby hospital.

Police arrested at the scene a female suspect, Ms. Chanaporn Suatao, 29. They successfully restrained her and found a 15-centimeter-long knife, which was subsequently taken as evidence.

The Pattaya News later interviewed the injured hotel staff, Mr. Thanadon. He revealed that prior to the stabbing, the suspect tried to force her way into his workplace, a hotel (name withheld) located about one kilometer from Central Festival Shopping Center. He denied the woman’s improper entry, causing her to punch him in the face, Thanadon stated. It was unclear why she was trying to force her way into the hotel.

Consequently, the woman ran away, so Thanadon chased after her. He intended to record a video as evidence and pursue legal action. Once they arrived at the shopping mall, however, the woman unexpectedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Thanadon in the back. Many shoppers and tourists witnessed the attack and screamed in shock. An unidentified Good Samaritan then contacted the authorities, resulting in the woman’s on-the-spot arrest. The Pattaya News notes the police station is only seconds from where the incident took place.

Pattaya Police were interrogating the woman to hear her side of the story. Legal charges were forthcoming for her, police said. Thanadon was expected to fully recover from his injuries.
