Amazing Thailand Marathon ready to roll this month with 20,000 runners

He said the event is held to “build trust among every sector” public and private. It will also be an announcement to the world that Thailand is capable of holding a global event in the present Covid-19 situation.

Some 20,000 runners are expected to participate in the 10km and 5km events. The February 26 marathon is expected to see 7,000 runners competing, and 13,000 will take part in the half-marathon on February 27.

The total prize pool is 1,729,500 baht.

The event has been approved by Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang, but it must strictly follow Covid-19 prevention measures.
