Alzheimer’s-Dementia

**Current Dr. Recommendation**

I recently went for a one-month checkup after being given the all-clear from my Alzheimer’s/dementia x-rays.

The doctor had prescribed some tablets to help with my immediate memory, which actually worked.

However, during my return visit, I noticed “AD” written at the bottom of my form. When I asked about it, the doctor informed me that I have the early signs of Alzheimer’s.

He had previously said that the x-rays showed everything was good, except for a slight gray area that was normal for someone my age. This news is life-changing, especially since I just moved to Chiang Mai from the US, where my family is. Managing Alzheimer’s here will be a challenge, to say the least.

I am sharing this story because I am not looking for general recommendations that I can easily find on Google. I am hoping to connect with someone who is currently going through this experience. I am specifically looking for current recommendations, as posts that are 2 to 3 years old may not be reliable.

\*\*\* The medication: I would often struggle with remembering a six-digit code that was texted to me by the bank. It would take me two or three tries to get it right because I couldn’t remember three or four of the numbers. Additionally, I have been having more trouble spelling words than I used to.
