All schools in Phitsanulok to close Jan 4-8

PHITSANULOK: All educational institutes in this province have been ordered to close from Jan 4-8 to stem the Covid-19 spread, although no new infections have been reported.

The decision was made on Sunday at a meeting of all educational institutes in Phitsanulok at the provincial education office, citing the current surge of Covid-19 infections in the country.

Luechai Chunakha, the provincial education chief, said the closure order had been sent to the directors of Primary Education Zones 1-3, director of the Secondary Education Zone 39, chairman of the Provincial Vocational Education Office, director of the Provincial Non-Formal Education Centre and rectors of all universities in the province.

They are to re-open on Monday, Jan 10.
