Penalty for brutal attack on opponent seen as lenient
Aitsaret Noichaiboon has been handed a three-year ban by the Football Association of Thailand for a vicious blow to the face of an opponent during a Thai League 3 match last Sunday.
Former Bangkok FC player Aitsaret has been penalised for a Muay Thai-style elbow strike that left North Bangkok University FC’s Supasan Ruangsuphanimit needing 24 stitches on the upper lip.
An investigating panel set up by the FAT unanimously found Aitsaret guilty of breaching the association’s code of conduct for professional players.
