Activists hold ‘no-confidence’ rally

A few hundred activists gathered on Saturday evening for what they called a people’s no-confidence debate outside Parliament amid tight security provided by 4,000 police officers on rotating shifts.

The event came hours after a series of votes inside the legislative chamber, where Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha and his nine cabinet ministers survived a censure debate as coalition MPs closed ranks…
