Ace golfer felicitated by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur on Women’s Day

Jamshedpur, March 10: Jamshedpur golfer Alka Garg was felicitated by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City for her achievements in golf.  On the occasion of International Women’s Day, she was felicitated by the club.

Garg has been playing golf for the last 14 years. She started early in 2008 and within one year she became the first lady golfer who became golfer of the year in just one year. Today she is playing at single digit i.e to handicap 8 at Golmuri and 9 at Beldih.

She has bagged many golf prizes. Her first win was the Sonnet Cup in 2008. Captain Cup Runners up in 2009, FleetGuard Winner in 2009, Tata Hitachi winner 2009 Golfer of the year 4 times since she started golf.
