Hey guys this is my first time posting on Reddit but wanted to hear your thoughts on this. Me and my mother always visit Thailand and stay here for 3 months nothing like this ever happened. So we went to gourmet market which is the supermarket at EmQuartier and after shopping and paying the girl behind us waiting on the counter chased us when we were about to leave the mall and started saying ”moment moment” she then pulled out her google translate to say “I see you steal” after waiting for a few mins since she didn’t know how to speak English we took her to the cashier back to the market and started asking her wtf she was talking about. We took all our things out of the bag and told her show us where is the hair band (that she accused us of stealing). We called the manager and told him we are daily customers and spend thousands on groceries they apologized after that and manager took her somewhere to probably speak to her.
This is really long and might not seem well written because it just happened and I’m really stressed.
It’s really humiliating to be accused of stealing something and even considered one of the biggest sins in thailands main religion (Buddhism) when she didn’t even have proof.
She was even smiling the whole time.
TLDR: accused of shoplifting at gourmet market when we didn’t they didn’t have proof and apologized.
