A few questions about Thai politics

I’ve read some articles about the political situation in Thailand and find it very interesting, yet complicated.
Here is some things I don’t get:

1. Why did Bangkok vote for pro-junta parties, but in 2023 the anti-junta Move Forward party won in nearly all Bangkok districts?

2. Why are some southern provinces, like Surat Thani, so much pro-junta? Are they maybe more rich, more religious, more conservative than the north?

3. Which provinces/cities are most conservative, and which are the most progressive/liberal? If Bangkok is the most progressive, why was Bangkok voting for the ‘national-conservative’ parties in many elections? Economic reasons maybe?
