MAIN EVENT: Dustin Poirier vs Conor McGregor
The whole time leading up to the fight it felt like the media overlooked Dustin Poirier and simply assumed Conor would run through him to set up a potential rematch with the champ, Khabib Nurmagamedov. Conor seemed to buy into the hype and simply seemed way too confident and wasn’t able to adjust to the perfect game plan that was executed by Dustin Poirier. Stay away from Conor, take him down, get him tired or at least make him think about the last time he was taken down, and then go for the calves. And those calf kicks worked like a charm. Dustin destroyed Conor’s leg and then was able to finish him on the feet.
The surprising thing here wasn’t how well DP executed the game plan but…
