A foreigner on a big bike collided with a street sign in Pattaya and died on the spot this morning, June 12th.
The unidentified foreign man, aged 30-35 years old, was found lying in a pool of blood on a footpath on Pattaya Second Road within the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung district, Chonburi province.
Sawang Boriboon rescuers responding to the accident at 03:00 AM attempted to provide the man with medical assistance, but due to grievous injuries, he succumbed to his wounds and passed away shortly after.
On the road, Pattaya Police discovered a damaged red Honda CB650R motorcycle with a Bangkok license plate. A dislodged metal signpost was also discovered near the deceased. No identification documents were found on him.
According to an eyewitness, Mr. Wirat Wiratchalap, he noticed the deceased driving at high speed before losing control of his vehicle while navigating a curve. The man then veered onto the pavement, which flung him into a signpost and resulted in his demise.
Pattaya Police were checking CCTV footage of the accident to establish the exact cause of the collision. The deceased was transferred to a local hospital where his embassy and relatives would be contacted and final preparations for funeral arrangements would be made. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=–=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
