Kaspersky reports blocking over 260,000 remote desktop protocol attacks per day in Asean
As hybrid and remote work continue to be the norm in Southeast Asia, hackers and cybercriminals are busier than ever trying to get into people’s desktops, according to the cybersecurity firm Kaspersky.
The company says that it foiled more than 47 million remote desktop protocol (RDP) attacks during the first six months of 2022. That figure, it stresses, represents only detection by Kaspersky products from users who consented to provide statistical data.
