Ministry seeks Austrian support in healthcare, non-communicable diseases

A senior Ministry of Health official asked an Austrian business delegation to support the provision of medicinal services and treatment for non-communicable diseases in Cambodia, and encouraged them to invest in medical technology to promote primary healthcare in order to achieve Global Universal Health Coverage.

Ministry secretary of state Or Vandine made the suggestion during a meeting with the delegation led by Michael Schmeiser, deputy chief of mission at the Thailand-based Austrian embassy .

Vandine told the delegation that the ministry always supports authorised private companies to invest in the Cambodian health sector, noting that Austrian-made medical products are still limited in Cambodia.
