Anitech, a consumer electronics product maker, has joined hands with tech startup Creative Digital Living to unveil a metaverse platform to level up the education industry, capitalising on virtual technology.
The move aims to tackle structural problems in the country’s education system, which saw 65,000 young people drop out by the end of academic year 2021, based on data from the Equitable Education Fund.
The platform has a target to launch in the third quarter and is called Aniverse Metaverse.
It offers educational opportunities through “Edu GameFi” under the “learn-to-earn” concept.
The platform plans to roll out ANIV, a non-fungible token (NFT) that can be used in the digital world.
The NFT is a reward for learners to fund their further education or use for other purposes.
