Chenrop Samphaodi and Ikhsan Fandi played stellar roles as defending Thai League 1 champions BG Pathum United trounced Samut Prakan City 3-0 on Wednesday night.
Pathum’s real challenge comes in their next game at league-leading Buriram United on March 20 when anything less than a victory will effectively end the Rabbits’ bid for back-to-back titles.
The Thunder Castle hold a massive 12-point advantage over Pathum United with only five matches remaining this season.
Samut Prakan are in the red zone, six points from safety.
Chenrop (42nd minute) and Ikhsan (81th) made the job of scoring look easy before Chaowat Weerachart grabbed the third for the Rabbits in stoppage time.
