9,909 new Covid cases, 22 more deaths

The country registered 22 more Covid-19 fatalities and 9,909 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Friday morning.

This compared with the 21 coronavirus-related fatalities and 9,172 new cases reported on Thursday morning.

There were 9,721 local cases and 188 imported ones.

On Thursday, 7,827 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,475,632 Covid-19 cases, including 252,197 cases this year, with 2,366,909 complete recoveries to date.
