9,909 new Covid cases, 22 deaths Friday

The country registered 22 more Covid-19 fatalities and 9,909 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Friday morning.

There were 9,721 local cases and 188 imported ones.

On Thursday, 7,827 Covid-19 patients left hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,475,632 Covid-19 cases, including 252,197 cases this year, with 2,366,909 complete recoveries to date.

The death toll stood at 22,250 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 552 so far this year.
