90 days in Thailand as Canadian Tourist

I did some research and wanted to make sure if I understood their tourist visa system correctly.

so from my understandings, I apply for a 60 day tourist visa in advance before my departure and then can extend 30 days at the Immigration Bureau located in Bangkok while I’m in Thailand.

so this way, I can stay up until 90 days, right?

Also, does the Immigration Bureau only offer a 30 day extend for tourism purposes?
