79 areas in and around Bangkok suffering excessive PM2.5 pollution today

Seventy-nine areas of Bangkok and its vicinity were suffering with excessive PM2.5 pollution this morning, exceeding 37.5µg/m³ safety threshold, with the worst-affected areas being Khlong Kum district, Lat Phrao Road, near Soi 95, and Srinagarind Road, according to the Pollution Control Department.

All told, thirty-five provinces, including, Bangkok, have excessive PM2.5 in the atmosphere today.

In the north, PM2.5 pollution in six areas was measured at 8.4-53.4µg/m³, seven areas in the northeast at 20.7-49.5µg/m³, between 35.34µg/m³ and 80.3µg/m³ in the central and west and between 30.1µg/m³ and 66.7µg/m³ in the east.

The levels in the south, however, are within the safety threshold, measured at 13.2-32.5µg/m³.
