The country registered 82 more Covid-19 fatalities and 27,024 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning.
This compared with the 80 coronavirus-related fatalities and 25,164 new cases reported on Wednesday morning.
There were 26,978 local cases and 46 imported ones.
On Wednesday, 23,721 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 240,349 others were receiving treatment (up from 237,128 on the previous day).
