22,984 new Covid cases, 74 more deaths

The country registered 74 more Covid-19 fatalities, a new record high of the latest wave, and 22,984 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Thursday morning.

This compared with the 69 coronavirus-related fatalities and 22,073 new cases reported on Wednesday morning.

There were 22,937 local cases and 47 imported ones.

On Wednesday, 24,161 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus while 220,334 others were at hospitals (down from 221,585 on the previous…
