18,066 new Covid cases, 27 more deaths

The country registered 27 more Covid-19 fatalities and 18,066 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Friday morning.

This compared with the 22 coronavirus-related fatalities and 17,349 new cases reported on Thursday morning.

There were 17,898 local cases and 168 imported ones.

On Thursday, 12,511 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,674,477 Covid-19 cases, including 451,042 cases this year, with 2,502,323 complete recoveries to date.
