16,330 new Covid cases, 25 more deaths

The country registered 25 more Covid-19 fatalities and 16,330 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Saturday morning.

This compared with the 23 coronavirus-related fatalities and 15,242 new cases reported on Friday morning.

There were 16,180 local cases and 150 imported ones.

On Friday, 9,205 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,577,445 Covid-19 cases, including 354,010 cases this year, with 2,436,540 complete recoveries to date.

The death toll stood at 22,412 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 714 so far…
