10,398 new Covid cases, 17 more deaths

The country registered 17 more Covid-19 fatalities and 10,398 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Tuesday morning.

This compared with the 12 coronavirus-related fatalities and 10,470 new cases reported on Monday morning.

There were 10,196 local cases and 202 imported ones.

On Monday, 8,922 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 2,517,869 Covid-19 cases, including 294,434 cases this year, with 2,401,306 complete recoveries to date.
