Why so hot? is at a one-off heat wave?

I have lived here for almost 4 years and I have never experienced so much heat. Google says it “Feels like 47C” yesterday and actual being 41C.

It has become so hot to the point I am very reluctant to get out of my condo. This is making me reconsider my choice to live here long term and wanting to move to a colder place.

Is it a global phenomenon (Global warming/climate change, etc) or is there something specific thats happening in the SE Asian region? Is it linked to the pollution we saw till few weeks ago? Is El Nino La Nina to blame?
