Western, Eastern styles go head-to-head

A series of paintings epitomising the diverse cultures and historical anecdotes of iconic figures in various eras are displayed during “Retrospective” at Number 1 Gallery at River City Bangkok, Charoen Krung, until Saturday.

The paintings were created by Jirapat Tatsanasomboon, the only artist from Thailand who was featured in the book 100 Painters Of Tomorrow, published by Thames & Hudson, and had an opportunity to showcase his work alongside Andy Warhol in the “15 Minutes Eternal” exhibition at the Art Science Museum in Singapore.
